TeleNav and Maptuit to jointly service Fleets and Owner Operators
Santa Clara, CA and Burlington, MA – October 17, 2005 TeleNav Inc. the leading provider of wireless Location Based Services (LBS) and Maptuit Corporation, the leading provider of optimized truck-routing and fueling solutions, today announced that they will jointly make available products to better serve the Transportation Industry for both the Fleet and Owner Operator segments.
The first service, soon to be available on Sprint Nextel phones will enhance TeleNav GPS Navigator, the #1 mobile phone navigation service, with Maptuit’s industry-leading truck-routing capabilities. Now thousands of Fleet and Owner Operator have affordable access to GPS Navigation, which traditionally has been out of reach due to the high price of GPS Navigation systems. Future releases will extend the capabilities to include Maptuit’s Fuel planning and Traffic aware-routing.
